Weekend fun!

This weekend one of our dear friends retired from the USAF after 27 years of service!  We surprised them and drove over to Eglin AFB for the ceremony.   It was so good to see them again, it had been too long.  CMSgt St. Onge was A1C St. Onge when we met in 1985!  Our camera was dead, so I didn't get any pictures.  Kat promised me that she would send me pictures.....so later I will post the pictures.

We also participated in our neighborhood annual "yard sale" - it was a lot of work and if it weren't for Megan's help I do not think we could have pulled it off. We had a great turnout and got rid of so much stuff.  It amazed me some of the stuff that people purchased!  YIKES!  We should do this more often - it was so liberating to get rid of the stuff!

Mary was home this weekend.  She worked yesterday and today was not feeling well.  Hopefully after a good nights sleep she will feel better.

Today I prepared my menu for the week, went to the commissary for our weekly groceries and enjoyed a lazy evening with the family!  LIFE IS GOOD!!  We surrounded ourselves this weekend with our family, good friends and good times - what more could we ask for???

Pictures coming soon.......

Latest project

Just a little project I did this week.  A cute little Christmas Card Holder to hang inside the front door - over the years I have noticed that whenever the mail comes our cards get layed here and there.  I wanted to get them into one place this year, so I thought I would make something that everyone can just drop the cards into when they check the mail.  I used a paper mache bag shaped holder, some Basic Grey papers and embellishments, some Pink Paislee embellishments, acrylic paints, misc bling and ribbon.  I love how it turned out and can't wait to see how well it works!

Our New Addition

We added a new additiona to our family in June.....Lady Isabella....or Bella for short.  She is a long-haired daschund, strawberry blond with silver tips.  She is so petite and sweet!  Buddy loves having a girl around the house!  Here's a layout I did of Bella a few months ago.  She was 4 months old.

Updating finally!

It has been quite some time since I have even been on the blog I started while Eddie and I were living in Hawaii. My last entry was actually our last day in Hawaii!
My good friend Young has inspired me to begin blogging on a regular basis! After following her blog I realized what a great thing it is! So, to you Young! THANK YOU!!!
The past year and a half has flown by with so many exciting things. I can hardly believe that we have been back on the Mainland for over a year now! Where has the time gone? In that time we have watched our good friend Jenny and Spencer get married,Megan receive her degree, Mary turn 21, we got a new puppy - Bella, two of my sisters turn the big 5-0 and so many other wonderful things! So, now I have to start posting pictures and hopefully over the next few months I can start posting pictures of current things while going back and updating everyone!
So to start.....here's a picture of Eddie and I on the plane leaving Hawaii. I was munching on the wonderful snacks my CCI family gave me and we enjoyed the military hop experience!
I thought it would be fitting for the first post to catch up be a picture of us leaving Hawaii. Although we are smiling, we were sad to leave so many good friends. What a bittersweet day, we were excited to see our family and friends on the mainland, but sad to leave our good friends in Hawaii!
